Build Your Bead Storage System for FREE? Yes, and here's how it works and why.
After spending the past month or so working on the back end of things and watching the business news and what's happening around us, I pivoted for a bit to review what I could implement to help, especially now.
Budgets are tight, expenses are growing, and we fall back on what works during these times to help keep a level of sanity. Most often, we stop doing what brings us a bit of sanity because our crafting outlets are one of the expenses we remove from the budget to keep the household running.
But at the same time to we really do need something that we treasure and offers a sense of accomplishment to help keep our focus; but up on our handcrafts just might add to our anxiety.
OK enough of that: What I've decided to do to help-a-girl (or guy)-out.
Free shipping is just not an option for my business model; I don't like the idea of having to gouge my customers to cover the ever-increasing cost of shipping by inflating my bead store prices.
Keeping beads and the craft supplies we use organized is important. Over the past 20 years, something that has always been asked in Groups & Forums is what's the best bead storage system.
Beader's are very clever and have come up with so many interesting ideas, but it seems the key is uniformity and visibility- making sure to see what's inside the containers.
Many beads are already shipped in resusable round tubes which helps with bead storage. But once customers started requesting that I supply them with Flip Top Tubes by the 100's, they used them as their main bead storage system, I of course complied.
They are more expensive than the standard zip-loc baggies most often used, and more versatile than the round tubes used too. Because of their rectangular shape, they lend themselves to storing much more than beads and can certainly help in creating a neat and tidy bead storage system as they can store:
- Beads-most shapes and sizes up to 8mm
- Thread-bobbins
- Findings-earwires, lobster clasps, bead caps, chains and many more
- Buttons, Needles & Smaller Sewing supplies
- Nail Art Supplies
and many more items, which makes them much more versatile and useful than the standard round-tubes.
They are more expensive because of this; but I've decided to use them as the containers used for packing your bead orders.
They come in sizes 1" -3-3/4" and I will use the size that best accomodates what you ordered.
So wether you place an order on KDz Beadz Suppliez Shop on Etsy or my exclusive, often one-of-a-kind FaceBook / Instagram, or email/newsletter offerings I will use these tubes. Orders placed via FB or Instagram, paid via Paypal receive an additional Bonus Beading Tool.
I will be switching the Bonus Beading Tool offers up-so be sure you're signed up for the email newsletters-but the Flip Top Tubes will remain.
